BrightSpark Education is a British company. Founded by Tom Hooper in 2009, BrightSpark has been developed with consistent and valued input from teachers, students and parents throughout primary and secondary level.
TSL Education, publishers of the TES and TES Connect, the world’s largest professional network for teachers, recognised the potential for BrightSpark and launched a joint venture in March 2011.
Whilst we conduct our education and tuition online, our business is not a technology one. It is a human one. We provide students with live, specialist one-to-one tuition that is tailored to their abilities, strengths and weaknesses, and always focuses on the unique potential of the individual.
The benefits of one-to-one learning are widely recognised, and demand for personal tuition has risen dramatically over recent years as competition for the best schools, universities and jobs continues to grow.
Unsurprisingly, this means that traditional costs are expensive at £25-30 for a single hour, and the availability of specialist tutors is very low, even if you can afford them.
BrightSpark’s vision utilises its online platform and global perspective to access a wide network of subject specialist tutors, increasing availability, reducing cost, improving accessibility, and opening up the option of one-to-one tutoring to a much broader student audience than ever before.
